Item 002: Storm of Time
Description of Item:
Storm of Time is a flashdrive that contains two files titled "Storm" and "of Time." Each file is a five minute long video, which looks to be filmed on a cell phone.
The "Storm" video features a nighttime video of lightening striking over an apartment complex. In the background dogs growling can be heard.
The "of Time" video features one long continuous video of an old-fashioned clock ticking away four minutes and thirty seconds. The last thirty seconds of the video shows three people dressed in Chick-fil-A cow costumes destroying the clock with sledge hammers.
Special Notes:
It has been surmised that Storm of Time is an art film, which attempts to investigate the dual nature of Time as humans experience it. Time feels both too fast as symbolized in the lightening striking of "Storm," at the same time that it feels like crawls by very slowly, which is shown when one watches the clock in the "of Time" video.
